Hideaway

IMG_0846 copy
Crazy flight at 7.20AM with my family to visit my sister, I woke up at 5.00AM this morning just to get ready. Look how dark the sky still is and those orange lights are reflections.

Now’s the time for me to be a couch potato.

Beat

IMG_0838 copy
Running from place to place, settling piles of documents and lots of packing.

I’m beat.

Got a 7.20Am flight to catch tomorrow morning.

It’s Back

Finally I got my Canon DSLR back! What a relieve!
IMG_0825
That was lunch in between running from north, south, east, west to settle some documentation with mum this morning. I finally got to try out my new lens on my Canon and I was startled by how loud and noisy the autofocusing was.

Hairy Post

IMG_8319
Goodbye auburn hair and hello to whatever new hair colour I shall decide on tonight. I’m thinking light ash brown. Whatever that isn’t red. Screw professionally done dye jobs, they’re so ridiculously expensive.

Bigger & Bigger

Go through all that just to achieve this?1271089-1281470-1282140-1363096
Even products like some sort of glue to create temporary double eyelids. I think this is a scary video:

Cut Throat

P1030220
Went to take some passport-sized photographs today. Twenty four regular sized photographs and four driver’s license sized photographs.

Plus some photographs to bring over to stick on my wall.

It totaled up to RM79.00!!! Photo printing is seriously dishing out cut-throat prices these days.

P1030224
I think this actually looks DSLR quality! It’s actually the product of a regular compact camera. Leica lenses are amazing.

Packing

P1030216
Since everyone else is packing, I decided to pack as well since I will be away for the Chinese New Year week.

It is definitely queer that my luggage weighs only 17kgs. I still have to think of another 13kgs worth of items to pack so that I would make full use of the maximum 30kgs.

1. Coats (2)
2. Jackets (3)
3. Cardigans (5)
4. Jumpers (4)
5. Tops (35)
6. Jeans (5)
7. Shorts (3)
8. Homewear (11)
9. Shoes (5)
10. Fluffy towels (5)
11. Bags (3)
12. Bible (1)
13. Stuffed animal (1)
14. Toiletries (1 small bag)
15. Accessories (1 small bag)
16. Tupperware (5)

Merely reaching 30kgs.

Er… YET. I’ll think of something.

Hail To Make Up

I’ve never been much of a fan of make up, too much work to wash off and I am unreasonably paranoid that excessive makeup would clog up my pores, leaving me with awful complexion. Hence, I avoid foundations, concealers and eyeshadows unless I have a fancy dinner to attend. I most frequently use lip balm (I don’t even think my mint lip balm is classified makeup), followed by mascara on hardworking days or when I am exceptionally sleepy. Somehow I think those stiffened eyelashes help force my eyes open on sleepy days.

But bottomline is that makeup can do wonders. Make up is going to put plastic surgeons like out of business, Dr. Hansley!

Hansley, you’re really going out of business.

Little Investment

Enough said, all photographs were taken with my mobile phone. I am kind of surprised that the photographs especially the first photograph turned out pretty nice.

My unplanned tight budget due to the uncertainty if my camera body would arrive before I leave for university, had constrained my choices of lenses to buy. With the unwilling expectation to prepare a sum of at least 2.5 grand for a camera body, my first option of adding the 28mm f/1.8 for 1.6 grand to my collection literally evaporated into thin air, at least until the end of this year or start of next year.

All fussy budgeting that left me with not much of a choice but to get that 50mm f/1.8 for a mere RM300 after much haggling.

Me: *enters Canon retail store and notices only one man was at the counter* How much can you sell to me the 50mm f/1.8 for?
Young man: RM330.
Me: So expensive? I know of other places selling for much less than that. Cheaper?
Young man: Oh, promotion is over. RM330 is the cheapest I can give you.
Me: Oh… no thanks then. *walks off*

Thirty minutes later…

Me: *walks pass Canon retail store again and notices there’s another older man with the previous man at the counter, enters shop and approaches older man* What is the cheapest price you can sell to me the 50mm f/1.8?
Young man: *doesn’t notice, busy checking something at the cash register*
Old man: RM300.
Me: Rm270?
Old man: Haha, cannot.
Me: RM280?
Old man: RM300 is the cheapest I can sell it to you for.
Me: *One last try* RM290?
Old man: RM300.
Me: Oh okay, I’ll take it then.
Young man: *looks up and notices* Heh…

Baked some chicken mushroom pies today. I shall post up photos tomorrow.

Found out my car’s brake fluid is leaking. Great. Great timing. Really.

Good Luck Charms

P1000573
Good luck charms despite all being three-leaved.

Good luck to Amy with her results tomorrow. I’m sure you can do it!

And good luck to myself on not getting lost while acting as a tour guide on Monday, good luck to whoever who winds up in my car.

PS:
Nicholas, you’ll make an awesome E&E. Please take note that a bank note printing machine makes a good Christmas gift when you’re an E&E.

Another random doodle.

Seeing things from a different perspective. What you see is not always what you get.

Anyway, here’s something random that I picked off Deviantart and decided to repost simply because of because. It’s awesome photography anyway.
