Of Malaysian Food

Drastic weather patterns for the past few days… really windy and cold then now, somewhat temperate enough to go out in shorts and sleeveless despite being the start of autumn.
Apparently they do grow morning glory here. Had it after church for dinner with sambal for $16.

Spring rolls for $5.

Pork ribs for $22.

Friday

Sweet… I am afraid of what is for dinner tonight since lunch was no where near bad with couscous, broccoli, chicken and some muffins.

Full stretch of classes today from 8.00AM until 12.30PM, I can barely keep my eyes open except during Biological Science lecture… that is one lecture that the lecturers go so fast that you do not have sufficient time to blink, let alone sleep.

Hours roll by like bullet trains and so do Biology lecturers.
They seem to blue shift.

Autumn

Lame how I can survive 9.8 degrees Celcius with shorts, sleeveless and a pair of gloves.

I sure hope dinner today is good.

On a rainy day, sitting by the roadside having dinner after church.

It has been raining consecutively the entire day and the day before.

Every photograph taken looks depressing.

Nevertheless, today is one good day despite the rain due to satisfying lunch and dinner.

Something like Foochow fried noodles, servings are so huge that I could split it into three meals.

Since I came here, I recall memories of eating good food more than bad food unlike vice versa back home. Two rounds of Japanese food and today’s Malaysian food, best meals so far over here in NZ.


Teh tarik with something that isn’t Malaysian, a biscotti.

Wouldn’t mind spending $20 or so every weekend for a satisfying meal with real leafy greens.

Arghhh!

Breakouts! I have these two nasty, huge red zits on my forehead. Ones I have not gotten since my SPM days.

It’s certainly not the weather, Malaysia is twice as hot and humid as it is here.

It’s the FOOD here.

And the fact that they don’t sell Loreal cleansers that’s only obtainable back in Asia.

Now & Then

This was in my pigeon hole yesterday.

Shame that discount cards only accompany groceries.

If only it accompanied fashion boutiques and Canon DSLR equipment.

First birthday celebrated here, not mine but a fellow Malaysian’s.

Interesting chocolate sold at a bakery down Queen Street.

Hah! Sushi for dinner!  Something not does not have potatoes, pasta, beans and lettuce!
